Wagenseller Law Firm: Serving the Community

The retailer Kiehl’s has a mission statement which reads: “A worthwhile firm must have a purpose for its existence. Not only the everyday work-a-day purpose to earn a just profit, but beyond that, to improve in some way the quality of the community to which it is committed. Each firm–as should each person–contributes to those around it; and by dint of its day-to-day efforts, the message it thereby imparts is a revelation of the quality standard at which its life’s work is conducted.”

Wagenseller Law Firm believes that we can improve the quality of our community through superior real estate litigation and real estate law services. By helping our clients succeed, we are helping our community. We also believe in contributing to the non-profit organizations in our community that are committed to improving the lives of everyone around us. We have focused our charitable work on the following organizations.

YMCALaine Wagenseller is on the Board of Managers of the Stuart M. Ketchum Downtown branch of the YMCA. In addition Wagenseller Law Firm hosts an annual cocktail party for real estate professionals throughout Los Angeles to raise money for our annual Send A Kid to Camp Campaign. As a part of the YMCA’s focus on youth development, the YMCA sends kids from the neighborhoods surrounding downtown to camp in Big Bear each year. Many of these inner-city children cannot afford a week in camp and have never been outside of the city. The goal of Wagenseller Law Firm’s Send A Kid To Camp Campaign is to make sure that every child can spend a week in summer camp. If you would like to get involved in our campaign, please let us know.

Global Support Mission

GSMLaine Wagenseller traveled to a small village in western Uganda in the summer of 2010 with a group of 13 other volunteers for a short-term mission trip. The team stayed at an orphanage and worked with the village on a number of projects, including dentistry, a pastor’s conference, a marriage conference, carpentry, a Sunday school program for kids and installing mosquito nets in homes in the countryside. The orphanage, Bringing Hope To The Family, supports orphans from a couple of months old to 18 years old. The older boys are learning farming and carpentry while the girls are learning sewing and crafts.

In a country ravaged by AIDS, malaria and other fatal diseases, Global Support Mission exists to see a movement of compassion wipe out hunger, disease and extreme poverty. Through Global Support Mission’s site Know.Think.Act., you can help provide educational opportunities, health care and a safe place to grow up so that the orphans can ultimately support themselves and meaningfully contribute back to their communities.

Specifically, our firm has made it our mission to help educate the teenage boys in the Uganda-based orphange by raising $6,500 to build a male dormitory at the Dorcas Vocational School located in Kyongera. To learn more about this initiative and would like to donate towards the project, please visit our firm’s project website “BRINGING HOPE TO KYONGERA.”
